When we login to Windows the desktop is the first thing we see. For those of us who have had a computer for a while the desktop may be cluttered with icons. The icons could be Windows 7 system utilities, Microsoft Office documents, website links, program shortcuts or movies and music we have downloaded from the Internet.

If you are interested in keeping a tidy desktop it is important that you know how to organize all of your desktop icons and have the ability to make changes to them. I have also seen duplicates of the same icon on a single desktop. This is unnecessary and the duplicates should be deleted. The video tutorial below will teach you how to do this.

In the following Management of Desktop Icons in Windows 7 video tutorial I will take you step-by-step and you will easily learn the following…
1. How-To place or delete Windows 7 system icons from your desktop. The icons include “Computer”, “User’s Files”, “Network”, “Recycle Bin” and “Control Panel”
2. How-To make your Windows 7 icons temporarily disappear and reappear
3. How-To sort your Windows 7 desktop icons. You can sort them by “Name”, “Size”, “Item type” and “Date Modified”
4. How-To enlarge and shrink your Windows 7 desktop icons
5. How-To “Auto arrange icons” and also “Align icons to grid”
