This has happened to me several times in the past, I am on YouTube, Facebook or some random website about to watch a video or play a game when I see an Adobe Flash Player error that looks something this… “Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Macromedia’s Flash Player. Get the latest Flash player.”
[adblockingdetector id=”2″]I update to the latest Adobe Flash Player and I still get the same message. I install the same update again and again and again and again. Same result. I don’t know WTF is the matter because I did what the damn thing said and updated to the latest update and it is still giving me this error. At this point I want to grab my PC, throw it against the wall and call it a day. But I don’t because I paid so much for the damn thing.
Other Adobe Flash Player problems I have had have been install errors. Those errors are the worst, how can you update to the latest Adobe Flash Player if you can’t install anything? Here are a couple of those error messages… “Error: The file could not be written due to the lack of permissions.” “Error: The Flash Player ActiveX control could not be registered.”

Well it did not go well. I followed your directions to the letter. I had a tech guy come to my house a couple months back? Was right after I downloaded windows 10 for the first time. My puter didn’t like windows10. So this guy had to create a Built-in-Administrator account. Just so I could get into the computer. Under this account I’m limited to access a lot of stuff including Windows 10. Lol. Adobe flash is no where to be found on this computer. Trust me I checked. This isn’t my first rodeo. Anyways, thanks for a great site though, I will pass this on to any of my friends if they have this problem or others.

Thanks, this worked for me on Firefox. For the Flash player, is it best to let it auto update or should I turn that option off?

I would recommend leaving the auto-update turned on. The reason is that the latest updates could patch up security holes in Flash, which could lead to you getting a virus because you have an out-of-date version.

it don’t seem to matter what web browser I have I cannot install adobe flashplayer and I also reformatted the hard drive a few days ago. can u please help me. followed everything on your tutorial and still no luck.

Download/Install Google Chrome:
https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/desktop/index.html
Google Chrome comes with Adobe Flash. You never need to install Flash separately.

Do you have a Mac, PC or some other type of computer?
Also what web browser or browsers are you using when you try to access Adobe Flash (Chrome, IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera)?
If I had to take a wild guess without knowing any more detail, Adobe Flash being disabled on your computer is due to 1 of 2 things… either a web browser extension/plug-in is blocking Flash (this has happened to me and it took me a while to figure this out, lol) or your computer’s security software is blocking Flash.
