Most of the time after I fix a computer, I check the display settings. I have noticed that most of those computers do not have their monitor refresh rate at the highest possible setting. If you do not have the video signal on your monitor refreshing at a high rate this could possibly strain your eyes.

[adblockingdetector id=”2″]It is also important to adjust the video/monitor resolution to something your eyes are comfortable with. It is not always a good idea to set the resolution to the highest possible. The higher the resolution is set to the smaller the icons and text on your screen will appear. If you have really good eyesight you may want to set your computer to a high resolution. If you have bad eyesight I recommend setting your resolution to something that is not that high.

In the following Monitor Display Settings, Windows Vista video tutorial I will take you step-by-step and you will easily learn the following…
1. How-To access the “Display Settings” option in Windows Vista
2. How-To change the monitor resolution
3. How-To change the color depth (16-bit or 32-bit color)
4. How-To change settings for dual monitors
5. Where to find information on your video card
6. How-To change the monitor refresh rate
7. How-To access the nVidia Control Panel (this option only applies to PC users who have an nVidia video card installed)
