In the Tera video guide below I show you how to buy any Ambit PvE design you want from the armorcrafting and weaponcrafting vendors, then I show you where to get Controvert PvP gear designs. After obtaining the Ambit or Contorvert designs of your choice you may wonder where in the hell do you get all of those listed mats on the design. I know I was confused about this when I was new, actually a little overwhelmed. But no need to worry, I am going to break everything down for you and simplify things within this article.

[adblockingdetector id=”1″]Before you think about crafting Ambit PvE gear please know that you do not need to craft it. You can get all of your Ambit PvE gear from the Bathysmal Rise, normal mode dungeon (aka BRNM). Yes, Amibt weapon, Ambit chest, hands and feet armor. I have ran BRNM about 12 times so far on my Gunner. I have received an Ambit Weapon, Ambit hands and feet armor from it. The only piece that hasn’t dropped for me after 12 runs is a Gunner Ambit chest piece. On my new 65 Mystic I ran BRNM twice so far and already received an Ambit chest, hands and feet. So it’s just the luck of the draw and RNG (random number generator). If you spam BRNM harder than I have and run it 15-25 times I am sure you can get full Ambit gear. But if you have a lot of in-game gold or insist on crafting the gear yourself you can outright purchase it on the broker from people like me that can craft it (yes, crafted Ambit gear is tradable), or you can craft it yourself. In my video tutorial I show you where to get all of the Ambit designs to fully gear up your toon. Within each design there are multiple materials needed to craft each design. If you scroll down below I list each individual Ambit craft material and tell you how to get it.

Controvert PvP gear is not tradable, so no, you cannot purchase it off the trade broker like Ambit gear. Also you cannot go on the broker and use gold to purchase two different materials needed to craft Controvert PvP gear, Jadefire Mark and Drop of Dissent. These two materials can only be purchased with Bellicarium and Killing Spree credits. These credits can only be earned by spamming PvP battlegrounds, mainly Kumasylm, Corsair’s Stronghold, Fraywind Canyon (unequalized) and Champion’s Skyring. I will go into further, more specific details below on this subject.

Below are eight tables that include designs which create materials needed to craft Ambit and Controvert gear. These designs can be purchased with in-game gold from their respective crafting design / formula vendors in the crafting areas. Once you look at your Ambit / Controvert class design and lookup the crafting materials on the tables you can scroll further down and see where to farm the additional materials needed for the designs listed within the tables. I know, this sounds a bit confusing if you are new. If you have any questions on this please do not hesitate to ask below in the comments section. I will be happy to help.

Killing Spree and Bellicarium credits can only be obtained by grinding PvP battlegrounds. At the end of each battleground you will receive Bellicarium and Killing Spree credits. The best way to farm them is to complete the Kumasylum, Corsair’s Stronghold and Fraywind Canyon dailies, every day. Kumasylum and Corsair’s Stronghold dailies each give 2,000 Bellicarium credits. Fraywind Canyon daily gives 2,500 Killing Spree credits. If you are an Elite subscriber these credits double. If you are part of the Enlightened Union alliance you get 5% more overall Bellicarium and Killing Spree credits. These credits are not tradable and are not sold from any vendor, so there is no way to get them from the trade broker, you must farm them yourself. Tera has a weekly cap on Bellicarium (40k) and Killing Spree (40k) credits. After hitting the 40k credits cap on either Bellicarium or Killing Spree you will not be able to farm them until after the next early Tuesday morning (PST) reset. There is a total Bellicarium (100k) and Killing Spree (100k) credits you can hold. After hitting 100,000 credits on either, you will not be able to earn more, even after the weekly reset. So if you are getting near 100,000 spend some credits asap.

How-To / Where-To Get PvP Jadefire Mark and Drop of Dissent…
Jadefire Marks and Drop of Dissents are the only materials on the Controvert PvP design list you cannot buy from the trade broker. You can only acquire them by purchasing the materials through the PvP vendors. You buy Jadefire Marks with “Bellicarium” credits from Surah, the Bellicarium Quartermaster. You buy Drop of Dissent from Juleor, the Killing Spree Quartermaster. Both vendors are located next to each other in the Valkyon Federation Headquarters, within Velika. Each Jadefire Mark costs 2,000 Bellicarium credits, each Drop of Dissent costs 1,000 killing spree credits.

How-To / Where-To Get Empyrspade Shard & Empyrplate Fragment…
* Random / Rare drops from level 65 dungeons; Rift’s Edge, Ravenous Gorge, Bathysmal Rise (NM/HM), Sky Cruiser Endeavor (NM/HM).
* PvP loot boxes; Sea Chest, Kumsa Toybox, Kumas Candybox, Kumas Goodie Box.
* Empyrspade Shards & Empyrplate Fragments are tradable. You can buy them both from the Trade Broker.

How-To / Where-To Get Pure Cobala Ore, Pure Goblusilex, Gods Tear, Fine Pilka Fiber, Idyllic Leaf…
* Pure Cobala Ore and Gods Tear can be gathered from “Cobala Ore” nodes.
* Pure Goblusilex can be gathered from “Goblu Essence” nodes.
* Fine Pilka Fibers and Idyllic Leafs can be gathered from “Pilka Plants”.
* Pure Cobala Ore, Pure Goblusilex, Gods Tear and Fine Pilka Fibers are all tradable. You can buy them from the Trade Broker.

How-To / Where-To Get Zawahide…

* Zawahide drops from most mobs in Val Oriyn. There are 2 Zawahide farming spots I recommend which I cover in a previous Tera tutorial.
* Zawahide is tradeable. You can buy it from the Trade Broker.
