The Assassin’s Creed minimum system requirements have significantly jumped in just one year. The new Assassin’s Creed Unity “minimum” PC requirements are higher than last year’s Black Flag “recommended” requirements. So if you can run Black Flag smoothly on your computer that does not mean you will be able to run Unity smoothly or even at all on the same computer. The official Ubisoft Assassins’ Creed Unity minimum and recommended system requirements are listed at the end of this article.

[adblockingdetector id=”2″]The official North American release date for Assassin’s Creed Unity was on November 11th, 2014. It was released a couple of days later on November 13th in Europe and Australia. The initial release of the game contained hundreds of bugs and glitches. The errors included random crashes, framerate drops, graphic quality issues, artificial intelligence and various other in-game issues. As of this writing, Ubisoft has released 3 patches to fix these problems. If you are reading this before or while you are downloading the game please remember to allow steam to fully download all patches to the game before you start playing. By the time you read this, there will probably be more than 3 patches, so allow all of those patches to be downloaded and installed.

Problems and patches aside, when Assassin’s Creed Unity gets fixed enough to be played smoothly in all areas and game modes without any problems it is going to be a sweet visual experience. With Unity you get more exportable buildings packed into areas that are similar to a real life scale compared to Black Flag. There are also more NPCS (“non-playable characters”) in those areas. When you engage enemies you will notice how much bloodier this game is. These are just a few things that make Unity an upgraded visual experience. The highly upgraded visual is the reason why the minimum graphics card has skyrocketed since last year’s game.

      Greetings Shadow,

The other sites probably got the Assassin’s Creed game names wrong. The newest one “Unity” is super tough on computers. Ubisoft, the makers of the game raised the minimum requirements very high, it’s almost insane how high the bare minimum requirements are.

Your computer will run Black Flag. But it will not be able to play the newer Unity.
