Firefox users who share a computer with others (e.g. family computer) can benefit from using multiple profiles. Each profile will have separate saved passwords, cookies, add-ons, themes and any other browser modifications. At home I use multiple profiles in Firefox because of the separate saved passwords, cookies, history and cache.
[adblockingdetector id=”2″]I have a main profile with most of my passwords of the usual sites I visit. Then I have a separate, “Testing” profile I use to test out my websites. I constantly clear saved passwords and browser cache on this profile while testing websites. If I cleared the cache on my main profile I would have to constantly enter my saved passwords over again for all the sites I have saved. This would be very tedious, not to mention aggravating.
The following Firefox video tutorial will guide you through the following steps…
1. Open the, Run prompt and type in the Firefox Profile Command, “firefox -P”
2. Create a new Firefox profile
3. Once the new profile is created, open up and manage multiple Firefox profiles
