The official release date for Wildstar was on June 3rd, 2014. If you pre-ordered the game, you were able to play a few days earlier. I found this game after looking up new MMOs that do not have tab targeting and actually forced you to… aim. After reading about Wildstar it sparked an interest and I got involved during beta.
[adblockingdetector id=”1″]The telegraphic system of aiming has been fun to play since I leveled my first toon in beta. For the first time I actually enjoyed some PvE aspects like Adventures and Dungeons (I am purely a PvP player who dislikes almost all PvE in MMOs). I generally suck at PvE so the veteran Dungeons are also challenging for me, lol. PvE aside the real reason I am currently addicted to Wildstar is because of the PvP action or at least the potential PvP action.
Currently there are 3 PvP Battlegrounds; Halls of the Bloodsworn, Walatiki Temple and Daggerstone Pass. My favorite is Walatiki Temple, I play it a lot. So far, I have reached 2145 in Rated Battlegrounds; but I lost a couple recently and I am just above 2100 at the moment. Rated Battlegrounds have not been populated lately (they are waiting for the next drop that changes a few things and resets ratings) so I will probably start doing some Arenas. In PvP Arenas, you can play in 2v2, 3v3 and 5v5 teams.
One of the cool things about Wildstar that does not have to do with content or the fighting system is that they allow you to easily modify the game with add-ons. The Wildstar add-ons can modify various aspects of the game. You can checkout the Curse.com website to view the full list of them. Just be aware that some add-ons may slow down your gameplay or make it buggy. Installing tons of add-ons could also slow down the game.
Wildstar charges monthly fees and you initially have to buy the game so I highly recommend that you check the system requirements below to see if your computer can run it.
