Google’s latest update to their Google.com search process will noticeably effect some of your searches in a good way. You now get the most recent and relevant search results. “Googling” is now easier and faster! (As if Google Instant wasn’t enough.) There’s no more need to include dates to your searches (unless, of course, you’re looking for old or specific stuff); Google just gives you the most up-to-date and hottest results.

[adblockingdetector id=”2″]The recent improvement will affect about 35 percent of searches and give better results in three major categories:
• Recent events or hot topics: breaking news and stories, trending topics on the web, recent and/or current events that you want to find the latest information immediately. Your search now will give you results that might only be a couple minutes old.
• Regularly recurring events: elections, conferences, sports games and even the latest results of your favorite TV shows. And with the latest update, you will get the latest information first!
• Frequent updates: information or reviews on certain products. If you’re looking for the best smartphone available in the market right now, you will definitely want the most up to date information. Of course, this Google Search tweaking will not disregard the good ‘ole trusted sources. Google knows that there are certain searches that need certain freshness in answers. We are assured that the update is designed to better understand the different kinds and levels of our searches and our needs for answers.

Google’s not even done yet. If you haven’t noticed, try searching for local businesses. You will see photos and information about the business on the right side. A map to the nearest location is provided for you. Clicking on the ”>>” on the right side of the results will give you a panel for more information about the business. Photos, directions, hours of operation and even reviews are readily available for you. Google’s currently working on applying this feature not only to local businesses around you but everywhere else.

It sure looks like Google’s putting all their recent acquisitions to use. I guess we have more things to look forward to from Google in the coming weeks.
