Most of the file types in Windows are automatically associated with specific programs. The files are always opened up by the same program every time you open them up. Sometimes you want another program to open up a certain file by default or maybe just 1 time. There is a way simple way you can make this happen.

UPDATE: This tutorial also works for Windows 7 32-bit and Windows 7 64-bit. Microsoft did not change this process when they created their newer Windows 7 operating system.

The following Windows Vista video tutorial will guide you through the following steps…
1. Change the default program association for a specific image file
2. Using the exact method I demonstrated in the video you will be able to change the default file association of any file in Windows Vista (all versions)
