Delete History, Cache on IE8

A very popular tutorial on this site shows you, How-To Delete History, Cookies, Cache and Passwords on Internet Explorer v8 and Firefox v3. I have had several people tell me that the video tutorial didn’t work for them when using Internet Explorer version 8.

I downloaded and installed IE 8 to see what the problem was. I found out that the location of the History, Cache, Cookies and Passwords deletion was changed. Now those of you who have Internet Explorer v8 will now know to delete all of your Internet browsing tracks. As I know many of you do, for whatever reason that may be.

CCleaner to thoroughly

Use the free program CCleaner. It will clean up the Internet browsing junk really good :-)

you can delete address bar historyin ie8/9

you have to go in internet options/content and go to autocomplete and click settings from there delete auto complete history making sure address bar is checked

There is only one option you- uninstall the IE8 and install older version.
With IE8 & IE 9 address bar history delation is not possible due to poor design of these two internet versions.

The other options deleting by going to "registry" is not suggestible as it can be risky to your pc.

Thanks for sharing this how-to video about deleting browsing history in IE8. Another great way to keep your browsing history private is to use InPrivate Browsing.

To start InPrivate Browsing open a new tab and select Browse with InPrivate or select it from the Safety button on the top right-hand corner of the browser window. IE8 will launch a new browser session that won't record any information, including searches or webpage visits.

Google Internet Explorer back button problems

Are both of you still having problems? Or was it a glitch that only lasted a day?

backbutton problem with google & IE8

Since this morning when i search a site from google and visit it, if i click the back button to leave and go back to google it doesnt work an just reloads the page im trying to leave (unless i do 2 quick clicks of the back button). Only seens to be a problem with IE because it doents happen with Firefox or Opera. Can anyone help

google giving me back button problems

Today whenever ive been on google and visited a site ive had a prolem. The thing is the back button in ie8 seems to be messed up, and when i click the back button to go back a step it does work but only to a point. Only takes me back as far as the sites homepage then just keeps reloading that page (unless i do 2 quick clicks of the back button).
This only happens on google and on IE ive used Firefox and Opera and everything seems ok.

Here's an idea

Stop looking at porn and then you won't have to worry about deleting the url's. Porn is horribly addicting and destroys families, you should really try and stop.

When you type a URL in the address bar, I think your seeing your history plus recently typed URLs since you last ran CCleaner and your Favorites.

Verify you have the History and Recently Typed URLs boxes checked in CCleaner.

In IE8 look at : Tools > Internet Options > Content > AutoComplete (Click Settings)

Under Address bar clear the check boxes you don't want to AutoComplete. (Click OK, OK.)

I personally like my favs to AutoComplete.
