Almost all Internet providers out there promise “up to” a specific speed download and upload speed. You are never guaranteed this top speed unless it is an expensive DSL, Fiber Optic, T1 or faster business connection. If you are like me you are curious as to what Internet speed you are REALLY getting.

There are 2 types of speeds to test, Download and Upload. Download speed is what really matters to most people in this world. It is important for browsing all websites, watching streaming videos, checking email and downloading media files. Uploading is mainly important to First Person Shooter (like Call of Duty) gamers that play online, sending large files via email or messenger, file uploaders/sharing. Testing your current Internet speed is very simple to do. Besides needing an active Internet connection and the use of any Interned Browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.) the only extra thing you need is the free Adobe Flash Player installed.

In the following Internet Speed Test video tutorial I will take you step-by-step and you will easily learn the following…
1. Visit the website SpeedTest.net
2. Test your Internet Download and Upload speed
3. How-To share your Internet Speed Test Results with your friends
